AMSOIL boasts a longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship. This commitment extends beyond AMSOIL products to the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS). NSF International Strategic Registrations is the registrar that has verified that the AMSOIL EMS meets the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 standard.
What is ISO 14001:2004?
ISO 14001:2004 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system. It does not state requirements for environmental performance, but maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system. Just some highlights of the AMSOIL EMS include a rigorous company-wide recycling program, use of packaging materials that contain post-consumer resins and status as a SmartWay® shipper. Registration to the ISO 14001:2004 standard provides third-party confirmation that AMSOIL is actively measuring and seeking to improve its environmental impact.
What is ISO?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a network of the national standards institutes of 147 countries. ISO sets rigorous standards for business, government and industry and is used by over 300,000 companies worldwide.
